This incredible home was built in the mid 1970's by the owners and their their 3 sons. Following a devastating loss of their original home destroyed by a fire, the owners decided to rebuild when they heard that salvaged wood from Pier 41 in San Francisco was available. The boards and beams were delivered to the site and the entire family, along with local carpenters and even the neighbors, got to work creating this one of a kind legacy home. Seemingly every inch was crafted with reclaimed and repurposed materials. Floors and walls of solid wood highlight every room and wood reclaimed from a bowling alley is repurposed as kitchen counter tops. Unique doors provide access to bedrooms and baths. The front doors maintain their own legacy with a rare squeak that attracted a family friend who recorded it for Hollywood film archives, and it was in fact used in the film Raiders of The Lost Ark. Never before on the market this legacy home is looking for its next owner.
